Atlas revisited

One of my BTO Atlas walks covered an area where the A2 has been re-directed, leaving landscaped ground.

There is provision for bicycling, walking/jogging and horse riding along various paths.   The areas of old carriageway are great for cycling and walking or jogging and the landscaping shows considerable promise where many saplings have been planted and the grass has been left for most of the summer, only being cut in the last couple of weeks.   Hopefully the Council will leave it longer next year.

The only birds encountered were starling, wood pigeon, house sparrows and magpies, but it was a great walk which can be done without any need for transport and it reminded me of how enjoyable my local Tetrad can be.
